From the Paleolithic, to the not-too-distant future, ghost towns exist. Whether they are the remnants of bones, structures, or gears, they mark the previous existence of communities, families, and individuals that have mysteriously moved on. Maybe even leaving ghosts.
Davy’s work exemplifies these remnants through visionary sculptures of robots roaming their own wastelands of memory, and beautifully detailed sketches of industrial emptiness. Reece’s pointillism captures portraits of people and moments in a dreamy ghost-like composition of particles, molecules… dots and circles of black on white canvas.
In this Particular Ghost Town is the first collaborative show for Davy and Reece, their immediate enthusiasm to exhibit together is evident in what you will find at Valkarie Nov. 14 through Dec. 9.
