Douglas County Youth Orchestra was established in 2005 because we believe music is an essential part of every student's education, and we are committed to providing the highest quality orchestral experiences possible for our students. DCYO is a flourishing 30+ member youth orchestra performing right here in Castle Rock! Students come from the Castle Rock and Denver Metro area. We rehearse on Saturday mornings from 10 to noon at Christ's Episcopal Church 615 4th Street in Castle Rock. All wind, string, percussion, and keyboard instruments welcome.
Students are challenged by the repertoire Maestro Blomster chooses and students gain musical expertise, self-esteem, and personal growth. Additionally, our repertoire is challenging, ever-growing, and exciting! DCYO welcomes 4th grade students and older. All levels of ability are welcome to join us for our open rehearsal at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Christ's Episcopal Church. Come sit in and see if DCYO is for you. No audition needed. Come, play, like us, join us. We are a tuition based orchestra. Visit our website for details: Douglascountyyouthorchestra.org
